In this episode, your host, accent and dialect coach Linda Nicholls-Gidley interviews Canadian based Australian actor Adam Stafford.
Best known for his character roles such as the Geomancer/Adam Fells in The Flash, more recently Adam can also be seen in The Inbetween, iZombie and The Twilight Zone, as well as the feature film Let Him Go, which had its cinematic release in late 2020.
Here in Australia he played the role of Kevin Bradley in the critically acclaimed Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and Hugh Masterton in The Doctor Blake Mysteries.
Adam discusses creating character voices, staying in accent and tackles the question of whether to turn up to an audition in your own accent or use the accent of the character from the moment you arrive.

In this episode, your host, accent and dialect coach Linda Nicholls-Gidley, interviews Australian actor Stephen Multari.
Stephen is a founding member and co-artistic director of MopHead Productions – a theatre company established in Sydney Australia in 2012 – which has toured productions Australia-wide. His culturally ambiguous appearance has seen him cast in a string of diverse roles, working with a number of different accents and languages.
In 2017 he moved to Germany, studied the language and subsequently scored his first TV gig in Europe. He has since made the move to Los Angeles after winning the Green Card Lottery in 2019.
He is soon to appear as Charlie Chaplin in the German production Das Weiße Haus am Rhein.
Stephen discusses his process for accent acquisition, the importance of the relationship with a dialect coach and what it’s like working in an English accent on a predominantly German speaking set

Erik discusses the use of standard accents, the relationship between the actor and the dialect coach and his journey to becoming a coach.
